Barkitecture “Denim & Diamonds”

Barkitecture is on its way, and this year, it's taking a denim and diamond theme for a turn! The annual fundraiser for the Humane Society of the North Bay "Denim and Diamonds", and you'll be able to join in with what you wear, what you build, or what you donate to the auction.

Barkitecture is not just two great fundraising events, it is also a competition in which local businesses, community groups, neighborhood groups and individuals compete to create unique, custom designed dog domiciles, dog and cat furniture, bird roosts and multiple pet domiciles. The festivities include music, catered cuisine, a premium raffle and a grand silent and live auction, many of the items are created exclusively for Barkitecture through gifts generously donated.

Form a team of friends and construct an entry for Barkitecture's Pet Domicile Competition. Team registration forms are due by March 1, 2012.

The goal of Barkitecture "Denim and Diamonds “ is to raise much-needed operational funds to care for the animals and for outreach to build awareness of the plight of the many homeless dogs, cats, other animals available for adoption at the Humane Society of the North Bay. We have been able to increase the number of animals we care for thanks to the support of our community through on-going volunteer efforts and the donations, which support our work. We are extremely grateful for everyone’s support.

Friday, March 23, 2012, join us from 5:30 – 8:00pm for the "People's Choice Voting" and Preview Party at Team Superstores in Vallejo. There'll be plenty of appetizers and drinks and a chance to vote on your favorite pet domicile, as well as raffles for special gift baskets. Joining us will be “Symani” Ayers, he will be available for Tarot Card Reading for a suggested donation of $10.00

Then come celebrate Friday, March 30, 2012 starting at 6:00 pm at the Barkitecture Gala and Auction, with a Special Guest MC (TBA), held in McCormack Hall on the Solano County Fairgrounds in Vallejo. Along with the winning pet domiciles and a feast of epic proportions provided by a plethora of local chefs and restaurants, you'll be able to bid on every kind of item imaginable in both the Grand Live and Silent Auctions.
